Job Summary

Natomas Unified School District is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to serve as the Assistant Principal for American Lakes School, a TK-8 school, to start this current school year. American Lakes School (ALS) is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment. ALS plays a central role in closing the educational achievement gaps with scholars while motivating them to take action and ownership of their learning as they develop the skills necessary to compete in a globally minded society. The American Lakes School students follow the Three Personal Standards: Show Respect, Make Good Decisions, and Solve Problems. Our committed, collaborative, caring, and exemplary staff are here to provide our students guidance and support in exhibiting these three standards daily. Scholars are encouraged to participate in the programs available on campus, including, but not limited to: Athletics, the after-school program (LEAP), After School Intervention (tutoring), Student Council, Leadership, Green Team, EA Sports, and more.

Required Documents

Experience and Training Guidelines: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities could qualify someone for this position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of responsible teaching experience is required. Training: Equivalent to a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education, education administration, social work, counseling or a related field is desired. License or Certificate: Possession of an Administrative Credential issued by the State of California or enrollment in an administrative program.
