This role offers hybrid flexibility after initial onboarding — typically 1–2 days a week in our Walnut Creek office — and we welcome applicants from nearby Bay Area locations.  We are a small office with a ton of growth potential.

The Role
We’re looking for an Associate Underwriter, Personal Lines to join our growing team. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where same-day quotes aren’t the exception — they’re the standard. If you’re detail-oriented, quick on your feet, and love solving problems for agents who need creative risk solutions, this could be your next step. 

What You’ll Do

• Review and process renewals, endorsements, and inspections (HO3, HO6, DP1/3, and scheduled personal property).
• Turn around accurate quotes within authority — or escalate when needed.
• Partner with agents to explain coverage options and answer questions.
• Keep underwriting files organized and accurate.
• Deliver service that consistently meets our 24-hour turnaround promise.
• Collaborate with a supportive, experienced team.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of personal lines underwriting or agency experience.
• Knowledge of E&S/non-admitted products (bonus points if you have it!).
• Active P&C license preferred.
• Strong communicator — written and verbal.
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office; rating/policy systems a plus.
• Detail-driven, reliable, and ready to juggle competing priorities.
