Description
Our recruiting department is expanding. We are currently looking for a Recruiter that is a self-starter and extremely organized. The Recruiter will partner with leadership in our Electrical divisions to help them achieve staffing goals.
Day to Day:
- Full life cycle recruiting, focused on electrical talent (project managers, superintendents, foreman, electricians, apprentices, etc.)
- Partner with hiring managers to form a strong understanding of staffing needs
- Source potential candidates by various means including but not limited to – online ad placement, resume searching, partnering with employment agencies and other community services, researching and attending appropriate job fairs, etc.
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications
- Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates
- Complete reference/background checks and on-boarding as necessary
- Coordinate interviews and follow up with hiring managers on interview process status
- Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
- Communicate employer information and benefits during screening process
- Staying current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, federal and state laws regarding employment practices and comparable compensation
- Maintaining and continuously improving the recruiting portion of company website and HRIS
- Assisting with investigations regarding employee concerns
- Completing timely reports on employment activity
- Stay current on recruiting best practices and trends
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of recruiting experience
- Knowledge of skilled trades is highly preferred
- Attention to detail
- Organized
- Positive attitude
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships
- Comfortable making decisions independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to handle multiple changes in the recruiting process
- A continuous improvement mindset
