We are looking to add you to our team!! We are hiring a Dental Hygiene Assistant! The Dental Hygiene Assistant assists the dentist and/or dental hygienist in providing dental access for patients by performing the following duties.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assists dentist during examination and treatment of patients.
• Assists Registered Dental Hygienist in routine preventive care of patients
• Prepares patient by recording medical and dental histories and taking vital signs, sterilizes and disinfects instruments/operatories, sets up instrument trays and prepares materials.
• Exposes dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Instructs patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Performs coronal polishing and applies topical fluoride
• Applies dental sealants
• Provides postoperative instructions as indicated by Dentist.
• Records treatment information in patient records.

Qualifications

• Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position.
• Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant
• Dental Assisting License must be in good standing with the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry
• Must hold expanded functions: Current Oklahoma X-ray certification, Coronal Polishing, and Sealants
• Knowledge of Dental Electronic Health Record
