Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers/CiviTek Solutions, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is actively recruiting for System and Network Engineer.

Florida Association of Court Clerks & Comptrollers is a statewide, non-profit member association. The association is comprised of the Florida Clerks of the Circuit Court and Comptrollers. FACC Services Group, LLC, dba CiviTek Solutions was established in 1991 to provide financial and technical services for the Clerks of Circuit Court and Comptrollers of the State of Florida. CiviTek is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Florida Association of Court Clerks, Inc. (FCCC). 

The Systems and Network Engineer I is responsible for providing onsite and remote technical support to the service desk end-users and service center. The Systems and Network Engineer will investigate, research, replicate and log technical issues; will provide timely updates to the end-users on the status and progress of reported issues, escalating internally if necessary, in order to provide issue resolution. Deliver effective and courteous support via telephone and e-mail in response to end-users' requests to ensure that the service center fulfills technical support obligations and maintains a high level of client satisfaction.

Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide high quality customer service to all internal and external customers. Track and document all incoming incidents in the incident management software provided and follow through with all customer support/request issues. Provide detailed documentation on resolutions of incidents in the incident management software. Escalate unresolved incidents to proper department if deemed necessary for resolution. Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware and software issues.

Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns. Create and verify backups of data for TAP customers.

Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution. Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems. Administrate technical infrastructure including servers, firewalls, databases, malware protection and other processes. Provide Tier 2 technical support to TAP customers for network equipment, servers, PC’s, printers and other peripherals.

Install and integrate new server, pc hardware and applications. Perform application software installation and upgrades. Hardware/Software Purchasing/Renewal. Support and administer third-party applications.

Monitor and maintain local data vaulting solution for participating customers.

Security and Policy. Ensure data is being replicated in a timely manner to offsite data vault for participating customers.

Provide Clerk website admin to participating customers. Create and maintain Clerk LAN documentation for TAP counties. Escalation point to the service desk for end-user technical issues. Assist with maintaining a test environment for Service Center.

Continue to improve knowledge of applicable application software, server, networking and virtualization technologies. Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, Clerk’s offices, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and regulations and instructions.

Assist in preparing written documentation for training, articles, advisories, and bulletins. Represent the Service Center at project meetings and works with the Quality Assurance & Project Team, as directed.  Interact with FCCC membership for technical consulting, education, presentations, and other Association communication activities including conferences, seminars, and training.

Possess excellent customer service skills, patience, politeness, ability to work well with others. Requires attention to detail.

Requires excellent communication, good grammar and writing skills. Possess excellent organizational, time management skills, self-motivated; perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision and willing to travel.

Possess a strong work ethic and ability to interact well with others. Employee must be dependable and reliable.

Strong technical diagnostic skills for troubleshooting network, hardware and software issues, act as liaison between technical and non-technical personnel.


Technical Requirements

Installation and management of current Microsoft Windows Server technologies.

Installation and management of current Windows SQL Server suite.

Maintenance and management of Windows SQL Server DB’s.

Installation and management PC’s, peripherals.

Virtual Environment installation/management (VM Ware).

Networking hardware /software installation and management (Cisco, Watchguard).

Working knowledge of various backup software technologies / management.


Education and Experience Required:

Associates degree in applicable technical field and a minimum of 4 year’s experience in hardware/software/network support or applicable technical certifications and 4 year’s experience in hardware/software/network support.

or: 

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information System, Computer Science or similar technical degree and 2 years hardware/software/network support. Applicable technical certifications.
