Summary/Objective
The Warehouse Manager oversees all daily operations within the Warehouse Department, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in receiving, storing, and distributing materials. This role is responsible for leading warehouse staff, driving 5S initiatives, and maintaining best-in-class inventory and logistics practices aligned with VanTran’s production goals.
Essential Functions
- Daily on-site attendance.
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, storage, and job kit fulfillment.
- Lead and mentor warehouse team members, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and performance standards.
- Implement and sustain 5S workplace organization and continuous improvement efforts across all warehouse areas.
- Monitor and ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Drive ERP usage for inventory movement and cycle count accuracy; ensure real-time updates of materials in the system.
- Resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records and report issues to SCM.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to support timely and accurate kit preparation.
- Create and enforce best practices for material handling, layout optimization, and space utilization.
- Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and compliance for all shipments and receipts.
- Participate in audits and ensure the warehouse is consistently audit-ready.
- Enforce safety standards and proactively identify risk mitigation opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for the Warehouse Team.
Environment/Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Working in hot or cold warehouse conditions
- Operating warehouse equipment as needed
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with working hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employee is expected to work the necessary hours to complete all tasks on time and to a satisfactory standard.
Travel
Travel is not required for this position.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in ERP systems and inventory management practices.
- Experience implementing 5S or Lean practices strongly preferred.
