This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the plant runs smoothly, shipments go out on time, and departments have the supplies needed for day-to-day operations.
- Responsible for arranging the movement of freight from the plant to the customer base
- Responsible to help prepare and deliver proper documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and trucking invoices after products have shipped to customer.
- Create Shipping orders and work with the Trucking team to secure trailers for shipment.
- Provide support with product complaints due to shipping errors.
- Monitor daily reports and ensure that all freight for assigned locations is covered by the requested ship date
- Act as the liaison between the plant and trucking carriers
- Process inbound paperwork and data entry into Oracle for raw materials
- Data entry of freight invoices
- Submit Purchase requisitions for operations team supplies
- Review purchase orders and process/receive against them when supplies are delivered
- Serve as the primary contact for third-party service providers for uniform and safety related services
- Support quarterly physical inventory count activities
- Provides daily clerical support to all on-site functions.
- Assist management with preparing documentation, reports and filing.
- Records retention- Maintain and document records going into storage.
- Plan, or assist in planning events and meetings
- Flexible to be assigned additional tasks by management as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to prioritize and follow through with multiple tasks, take direction from multiple sources, and be inventive in getting things done
- Ability to troubleshoot and determine resources that may be needed to solve problems with the Logistics process.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, convey information professionally and concisely.
- Familiarity with accounts payable systems
- Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is preferred
- Excellent documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be dependable, ethical and professional
- Strict adherence to confidentiality in all aspects of the position
- 2 year college degree
- 1-2 years’ experience in customer service, logistic, supply chain, or manufacturing role
