Job Title: Fitness Attendant

Location: Indian Hills Country Club – Mission Hills, Kansas

Department: Fitness and Wellness

Reports To: Director of Fitness

Job Summary:

Fitness Center Staff plays a vital role in promoting health and well-being among our members, including the preparation and administration of personalized exercise programs and materials. Staff members will create a welcoming environment, ensure members check in, assist members in the utilization of equipment, and ensure the smooth operation of the center. A passion for fitness, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to member satisfaction are essential for success in this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

· General supervision of the fitness center and the members.

· Provides a welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment while greeting members at the front desk.

· Provides personal assessments for all assigned members to review fitness goals, physical abilities, and conditions to create a personalized fitness routine.

· Notifies and confirms with management before altering or canceling any scheduled material

· Updates member records to track data from training sessions

· Ensure all users are IHCC members and check in properly at the front desk.

· Completes all operations, including but not limited to, cleaning all equipment thoroughly and laundering towels.

· Maintains clean, organized, and visually appealing self and areas in and around all fitness & studio areas.

· Communicates with the Director of Fitness and Wellness any equipment, member, or development needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Outgoing and engaging personality.

· Physical strength capable of lifting 50 pounds

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Basic knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· The ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while working with members.

· CPR and AED certification required

Experience:

· Previous customer service experience preferred

Working Conditions:

· Part time

· Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required
