Position Summary:
The Communications Coordinator supports internal and external communication initiatives to strengthen the company’s culture, and visibility. This role plays a key part in creating and distributing content across digital platforms, coordinating internal communications — including executive messaging from the CEO — and maintaining an active presence on social media. The Coordinator ensures that communication efforts align with company values, business goals, and employee engagement strategies across all manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications (50%)
- Develop and distribute internal communications, including company updates, plant bulletins, and employee highlights and updates
- Support the CEO and executive team with communication development (emails, town hall content, announcements, and video scripts).
- Collaborate with HR and operations teams to promote internal programs, safety initiatives, and employee events.
- Maintain internal communication channels such as email distributions, digital signage, intranet content, and employee messaging platforms.
- Assist with coordination and planning of employee engagement events, tradeshows, and leadership meetings.
- Coordinate employee travel arrangements for training
- Administer employee anniversary, recognition, and new employee welcome programs
External Marketing & Social Media (40%)
- Maintain and grow the company’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) by creating and scheduling engaging content.
- Support the development of marketing materials including flyers, brochures, presentations, and trade show displays.
- Ensure all public-facing content is aligned with brand standards and quality expectations.
- Monitor trends, analytics, and competitor activity to inform digital marketing strategies.
- Update website content as needed using content management systems.
Administrative & Project Support (10%)
- Track and maintain calendars, schedules, and content plans for marketing and communications initiatives.
- Maintain digital asset libraries and documentation for communication processes.
- Assist with vendor coordination for design, printing, or promotional material orders.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related coordinator role (internships count).
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone and detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing software.
- Experience with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or other email marketing platforms a plus.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
