About the Role
The Vice President, Marketing leads Turtle’s strategic marketing initiatives to drive profitable growth, improve vendor alignment, and strengthen collaboration across the organization. This leader will partner closely with Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure marketing efforts directly support revenue generation, margin improvement, and overall business performance.
This is a results-driven, cross-functional leadership role — focused on the strategic utilization of vendor marketing funds, execution of targeted sales campaigns, adoption of AI-driven marketing insights, and creation of data-driven initiatives that expand Turtle’s position in key customer segments and geographies.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Marketing & Growth Leadership
- Develop and execute a company-wide marketing strategy aligned with Turtle’s business plan and long-term growth objectives.
- Lead initiatives that drive organic growth across verticals, customer segments, and geographic markets.
- Partner with sales leaders to plan and execute targeted campaigns that generate measurable sales lift, improve customer penetration, and support strategic account objectives.
- Translate company goals into actionable marketing plans with clear metrics, timelines, and ROI expectations.
- Use AI tools and predictive analytics to identify emerging trends, refine targeting, and improve marketing precision.
- Leverage market intelligence, customer data, and competitive insights to guide decision-making and campaign development.
Vendor Relations & Marketing Fund Optimization
- Serve as Turtle’s primary liaison to vendor partners for all marketing-related initiatives.
- Design and implement structured processes for the strategic utilization of co-op and vendor marketing funds, ensuring transparency, compliance, and measurable business impact.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance to track, forecast, and report fund utilization and ensure dollars are maximized in alignment with growth priorities.
- Use AI-enabled data modeling and visualization tools to monitor ROI and identify underperforming or high-return vendor programs.
- Strengthen vendor partnerships through joint marketing programs, promotional campaigns, and co-branded initiatives that drive mutual profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Operations to align marketing priorities with sales objectives, operational capacity, and profit goals.
- Support sales enablement with marketing tools, assets, and analytics dashboards that help sales teams win business and retain customers.
- Partner with Finance to measure marketing impact on sales growth, margin improvement, and return on invested funds.
- Provide strategic input during annual planning, budgeting, and regional performance reviews to align marketing efforts with corporate objectives.
Performance Measurement, Analytics & AI Utilization
- Establish a clear framework for marketing performance metrics, tracking ROI across campaigns, vendors, and channels.
- Implement AI-powered analytics platforms to automate performance reporting, uncover actionable insights, and forecast marketing outcomes.
- Foster experimentation with AI-driven content generation, personalization, and automation tools to improve campaign efficiency and resource productivity.
- Use data and AI insights to refine targeting, enhance decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across all marketing functions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and measurable outcomes.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring continuous learning in analytics, digital tools, and AI adoption for productivity and insight generation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, responsible AI use, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring marketing remains a proactive business partner.
Champion professional development and internal succession planning within the marketing organization.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in distribution, manufacturing, or B2B environments.
- Proven ability to manage vendor marketing and co-op programs with measurable ROI.
- Strong understanding of rebate programs, vendor funding structures, and sales alignment within a distribution model.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging AI and analytics tools to improve marketing efficiency and decision-making.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, financial acumen, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Highly organized, dependable, motivated, responsible and a team player
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and handle high-volume work
