Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Tiverton, EX15 3FA
Job Length: Permanent
Working Hours: 45 hours per week. Predominantly starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm on a Monday to Friday basis. However, flexibility required to work outside of these hours to suit business needs.

About the role:
We’re looking for a Transport Manager to lead our Tiverton depot, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations. You’ll oversee fleet performance, support and develop drivers, and maintain high operational standards. Ideal for an experienced CPC holder with strong leadership, organisational, and compliance skills who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Transport Manager. Reporting to the Depot Manager, this role will play a key part of our succuss journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to and all employee training is kept up to date.
- Carrying out investigations and disciplinary hearings including completion of relevant documents.
- Maintaining and updating fleet documentation including but not limited to vehicle check sheets, vehicle condition, training records, driver licences, risk assessments, health and safety, purchase order numbers.
- Administrative duties surrounding fleet compliance and team members including the implementation and monitoring of KPI’s.
- Ensure that regulations relating to vehicles within the scope of the goods vehicles licensing of operator’s act are adhered to.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Must be a current and valid Transport Manager CPC holder
- Ability to communicate clearly and engage with a broad spectrum of contacts both internally and externally
- Experience with IT Systems such as, Microsoft Office, SAP, Microlise.
- Clean Category C Licence is desirable
- IOSH certification or similar H&S Certification desirable
- Keen attention to detail
- Works well both individually and as part of a larger team
- Collaborative and flexible mindset, willing to help team members when needed.
- Someone that has good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise the work of self and others.
- Experience of managing a team of distribution operatives
