The Planner Athlete Partnerships, Germany is responsible for the coordination of signings between athletes, celebrities, personalities and Topps in the German Market.

Based in the Frankfurt Office and reporting to the German Athlete Partnerships Manager, this position acts as the center point for all coordination between talent, agencies, clubs, representatives and Topps in the procurement of autographs and memorabilia for trading card products. This person will work closely with internal business units including Project Management, Brand, Operations, Finance, e-Commerce, Digital, and Marketing, as well as daily correspondence with external agencies and Topps witness representatives. This is a full time role, in the designated office 5 days per week. 

This person will work closely with Project Management to ensure that autograph procurement is aligned with all production schedules and product deadlines.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between Topps and agents/talent for the coordination of signings.
  • Manage and coordinate with Topps witness representatives and all Topps Licensed Portfolios contacts for autograph signings.
  • Coordinate and procure any player or match-worn memorabilia.
  • Spearhead strategy and tactics for optimising autograph signings throughout the product calendar year.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to strategise, plan, and manage product production schedules and specific product deadlines.
  • Prioritise and multitask projects and card signings based on deadlines and milestone calendar dates.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings with Brand, Project Management and Talent Licensing on a weekly basis.
  • Review product checklists with Brand for autograph requirements.
  • Coordinate with Purchase Order Coordinator and Accounts Payable to ensure contracted parties are paid for all autograph signings in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, ensuring all services are executed.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with agents, marketing representatives, All Topps Licensed Portfolios and industry contacts.
  • Coordinate talent activations and marketing/licensing events.
  • Support contract activations, logistics and on-the-ground execution during signings or activations.
  • Utilise and maintain familiarity with operational planning tools to streamline processes and ensure alignment across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Fluency in both German and English with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong passion and comprehensive knowledge of football, football players, and UEFA competitions – this is compulsory.
  • Experience working with athletes, agents, or clubs, preferably within sports or entertainment, is a plus.
  • Experience in a related field (sports industry, project management).
  • Knowledge of Excel, other Microsoft Office applications, and operational planning tools.
  • Candidates should be self-confident, energetic, proactive, organised, highly detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must be available for weekend and evening work and be ready to travel as required.
