Provide general office assistance to the department assigned. Duties may include distribution of mail, answering incoming calls, data entry, preparing routine correspondence and preparation and scanning of documents. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Office Assistant I ($16.74 - $20.93):
Must possess working knowledge of business practices normal acquired through completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
Office Assistant II ($18.43 - $23.04):
Must meet level I requirements and have one year of office or administrative work experience.
Basic knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Must have ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize and act on matters needing immediate attention.
Office Assistant III ($20.28 - $25.35)
Must meet level II requirements and possess working knowledge of business practices at a level normally acquired through completion of a two-year degree in a related field and two years of office or administrative work experience.
Proficient knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Basic knowledge of general accounting principles.
Must have a good understanding of policies, principles and procedures with the ability to exercise sound judgment when handling non-routine situations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized training beyond high school.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out recurring office duties independently, selecting procedure or format best suited for the assignment.
Accumulate, assemble and process data for reports and further handling.
Maintain files and records.
Preparation and scanning of documents.
Preparation of routine correspondence.
Answering and directing of incoming calls.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
