Destruction Coordinator / Technician
Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Destruction Coordinator / Technician to join our Production team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the destruction team and ensuring the complete, secure, and compliant processing of confidential materials delivered to the facility. Your dual focus on team leadership and operational security is vital to maintaining our customers' trust and operational integrity.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Lead and coordinate the daily production team, assigning tasks, performing administrative duties, and preparing daily reports to ensure operational goals and quality standards are met.
Operate and maintain destruction machinery and heavy equipment, including forklifts and Bobcat loaders, for approximately five hours of your shift, ensuring strict security and safe machine operations at all times.
Process and sort collected material for destruction by emptying containers, cutting open bags, dumping payloads, and separating material by grade.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards by maintaining the strict security of all material and trucks, performing emergency equipment repairs when necessary, and keeping the facility and containers clean.
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
Current experience in a production, warehousing, or similar industrial environment.
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to handle administrative tasks, prepare reports, and coordinate team activities effectively.
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations, with Bobcat/Forklift experience preferred, and a commitment to safe work practices in a non-climate-controlled atmosphere.
Proven ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including standing for approximately seven hours, operating machinery, lifting heavy bags, and pushing/pulling bins.
What We Offer (Benefits)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, Occasional weekends
