The Regional Manager supervises, coordinates, and directs the day-to-day activities for the SCSEP team. This position reports to the National Director of Senior Programs and is primarily responsible for: training, mentoring, and motivating program Career Coaches; and ensuring all DOL requests and GPMS requirements are addressed in a timely manner in conjunction with the National Director of Senior Programs and the other Regional Manager. May carry a caseload temporarily to ensure all program participants are supported. Will work with the other Regional Manager and the National Director of Senior Services to plan, implement, evaluate, and adjust the program to make it streamlined, highly effective, and successful in all locations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain knowledge of SCSEP requirements, program outcomes and performance.

• Establish and uphold a working culture of transparency, ethical behavior, empathy, respect, confidentiality, and teamwork. Must demonstrate desired behavior for subordinates.

• Ensure the timely flow of programmatic activities (e.g., outreach, screening, enrollment, assessment, the development of individual employment plans, case noting, etc.) completed by Career Coaches to meet/exceed SCSEP program goals and objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Problem solve and utilize creativity to address program challenges.

• Assist Career Coaches in identifying appropriate external resources and delivering timely referrals, direct connections, and follow-up with service providers for quality participant assistance.

• Assist in establishing effective communications & fostering strong relationships between Career Coaches, participants, community service providers, host agencies, employers, funders, and other agency/program staff.

• Develop, deliver, and participate in staff onboarding and training, and professional development.

• Develop trainings alongside the other Regional Manager, the National Director of Programs, and other National Able departments.

• Allocate time to deliver direct participant services including direct work in the community and with staff as needed.

• Travel regularly throughout the program region to assist with rural community outreach, participate in enrollment events, deliver one-on-one staff training, and observe/evaluate Career Coach behavior to foster continuous improvement and professional development.

• Work closely with SCSEP staff on paperwork, system issues, documentation, preparation for reports, QPRs, program year close-outs, and presentations, etc.

• Become and remain highly proficient in utilizing the GPMS data system for the SCSEP program.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and/or other employment database software systems used in workforce development programs.

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Self-starter, solid work ethic, and service oriented

• Experience working with an older adult clientele preferred.

• Experience supporting, developing, and training field staff preferred.

• Proficiency with DOL’s data system for SCSEP, GPMS, highly preferred.


Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or other job-related degree, or minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social services, counseling, job development or related field with a workforce development or employment focus;

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Career Coach/Case Manager position with management experience preferred

• Must be able to travel regularly throughout assigned region and to other National Able Network offices.
