This position is responsible for the analysis and administration of all fraud-related matters for the bank, utilizing programs used in detecting, preventing, and mitigating fraud; fraud alerts and database maintenance; and internal processes and reports. This position also conducts research and investigations of potential criminal activities and provides support in the execution and management of the Fraud Department's operations and detection software.
Conducts account/transaction monitoring utilizing appropriate software, applications, and manual review where necessary to perform fraud analysis. Initiates and manages appropriate mitigation responses and techniques. Reviews alerts and potentially fraudulent activity with applicable departments and initiate account holds and blocks as necessary. Researches account activity, interviews clients and employees, and researches documents and videos, as needed, with minimal supervision.
Investigates crimes of lower complexity involving the institution and its customers, as assigned by the Fraud Manager and/or Sr. Investigator.
Assists with the escalation and reporting of unusual activity to the appropriate business lines.
Conducts weekly Quality Control of all submitted fraud alerts and exports debit card data into the database monthly.
Supports fraud alert threshold optimization through conducting monthly above and below the line testing on various agents to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the analyst team.
Monitors Fraud Team email box and ensure all inquiries and referrals are addressed and all appropriate action items are taken to mitigate potential loss to the bank and/or customer.
Engages in additional assignments as directed by the Fraud Manager.

Strong knowledge of Bank fraud detection software/systems.
Knowledge of case management and unusual activity reporting.
Knowledge and understanding of financial crimes and global fraud trends.
Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner.

Strong written, verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated time management, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask.
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Ability to assist with reports, and business correspondence.
Working knowledge of core and other systems utilized by the Bank.
