The role you’ll contribute:
The Information Security Awareness & Training Specialist - Intermediate will work under the supervision of the department leadership to continue to build and develop an enterprise information security training and awareness program. They will assist in developing and implementing comprehensive security awareness programs. This role involves educating workforce members about cybersecurity risks, best practices, and organizational policies to ensure a secure working environment.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Participate in development of training and awareness program cybersecurity topics, including phishing, data protection, and secure use of technology, etc. for end users using the ADDIE framework to design blended learning solutions.
· Participate in the development of user training programs including the mandatory annual training, new hire training and other training as determined appropriate.
· Assist in maintaining the end user awareness campaigns working closely with the corporate communications team to determine the most effective awareness mechanisms e.g., including email, intranet, physical campaigns.
· Support training and awareness of the company's Information Security and IT Risk Management policies and appendices.
· Collaborate with the other policy management groups e.g., Compliance, Legal, Privacy to make sure that policies are presented in a consistent manner, and that they refer to each other as appropriate
· Assist in identifying audiences for more targeted training e.g., executives, privileged users and develop appropriate training and awareness programs for those audiences
· Assist in developing communication plans to bring awareness of scheduled Information Security initiatives.
· Produce original multimedia content.
· Maintain web and social networking presence for the Information Security Team
· Assist in developing communications for information security projects and initiatives.
· Research and help develop content for Viva Engage and monthly newsletters.
· Continuously monitor and evaluate workforce member’s' understanding of security practices and identify areas for improvement.
· Assist in the development of training materials such as presentations, guides, videos, and newsletters.
· Assist in executing the periodic phishing tests and analyze results to improve training effectiveness.
· Work closely with IT, HR, and other departments to integrate security awareness into broader training programs.
· Track the effectiveness of training programs and report findings to management, recommending improvements as needed.
· Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats to ensure training content is current and relevant.
· Reviews training records in the learning management system, and reports on the delivery and effectiveness of training.
· Meet reporting requirements through implementation of dashboards, metrics, and other methods,

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Strong communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
· Ability to apply principles of adult learning.
· Technical Writing
· Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex security concepts.
· Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
· Ability to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
· Competency in Course Development
· Competency in content creation (Articulate, Captivate Photoshop or equivalent, Premiere or equivalent)
· Competency in managing web content (SharePoint or similar)
· Analytical and critical thinking skills
· Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's degree
· 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and project management
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· PMP
· Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
· Certified Instructional Designer/Developer (CIDD)
