Job Description:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for fixed Assets and Lease month-end close accounting responsibilities and Divisional month-end close responsibilities.   This includes preparing financial statements, preparing account reconciliations and analysis, monitor monthly accruals, and support internal and external audits.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Assist with the month-end close process including the creation of journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple site locations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for facilities and discuss/present results to facility managers/management.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and analysis for various general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly accruals.
  •  
  • Support external and internal audits.
  • Produce various reports for management.
  • Assist with SOX compliance.
  • Responsible for the monthly preparation of Divisions Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting including reporting, month-end entries, and confirmation controls.
  • Track and report capital spending by project.
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting orf Finance is required
  • At least 4-6 years of accounting experience, required
  • Must possess strong communication skills in order to positively interact with varied levels of personnel
  • Must have a solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Must have strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must have previously worked in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills
