Reports to: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt 


This position will provide Sales support for Tidewater Fleet Supply by presenting TFS to prospective and current customers, focusing on attainment of new business to drive growth of organization. Additionally, this role requires Marketing support to Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts by coordinating and developing marketing policies, programs, and campaigns.


Responsibilities

  •  Promote and sell Tidewater Fleet Supply / TNT Parts products and services including Webshop.
  •  Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
  •  Seek out new customer opportunities from tips, counter recommendations, and new businesses.
  •  Identify and facilitate new products, manufactures specials, with good gross profit potential that can be quickly and directly sold by the sales staff, and through email marketing to existing customers.
  •  Manage a sales budget of dollars to spend on opportunities. Place orders and provide all information shared with sales staff on how and who to promote products to.
  •  Develops and implements strategies for sales.
  •  Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  •  Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  •  Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other specifications to clients.
  •  Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
  •  Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  •  Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  •  Travel will be required at times on an “as needed” basis as decided by Management.
  •  Collaborates with sales team or management to fully understand product and communication needs.
  •  Communicates with upper management team and Branch manager to achieve planned results.
  •  Assist administrative duties as needed.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  •  Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  •  Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times.
  •  Must be able to travel to multiple states.


Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Three years’ sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in the heavy duty or automotive aftermarket is highly valued, along with a positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
