POSITION SUMMARY

Directs and oversees all planning and compliance aspects of the Corporation’s income taxes, including federal, state and international income taxes and franchise taxes.   

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and review federal/state/local income and franchise tax compliance process.
  • Manage the U.S. international tax compliance process, which includes gathering and analyzing the relevant information from the various businesses, calculating GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, interest expense allocations and stewardship expense allocations, Subpart F amounts and Earning and Profits for foreign entities and ensure the preparation of the Forms 5471, 8865, 8858,1118, 8991, 8992, 8993, and Country-by-Country Reporting is completed by reviewing those prepared by staff or an outside service provider  Position will be the in-house expert for all international tax issues.  
  • Responsible for developing and creating tax policy, planning and strategies, including recommendations to management and divisional personnel.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax legislation through research and recommend necessary changes to policies and procedures affecting the company.
  • Manage the preparation and review of the domestic and international aspects of the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions.
  • Coordinate Federal, state and local tax audits and resolve tax liabilities while representing the company to outside authorities.
  • Maintain, analyze and update accounts for all taxes (excluding payroll-related taxes) and deferred tax liabilities.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of tax department personnel, examine current personnel projects and assignments, determine impact on Company priorities and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
  • 8+ years progressive management experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
