Your Key Responsibilities

The Co-op will be assigned to a specific project in a Focus Factory in the Seguin, Texas Schaeffler Automotive plant. In addition, the Co-op will collaborate closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams on a daily basis, contributing to a range of innovative and technically challenging projects.

• Support design and development of mechanical components, fixtures, and assemblies.
• Conduct tests, measurements, and data collection to support product validation and quickly improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance) to analyze and solve engineering problems.
• Participate in process improvement projects to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Observe and Learn about Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree mechanical, electrical, Mechatronics Engineering
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
• Experience in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication ability (written &verbal)
• Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
• Assertive approach to solving problems
• Ability to prioritize
