Position Description:

The Manager of Auxiliary Services is responsible for managing the MySchoolBucks financial platform, DLS’s Financial Aid program, and all aspects of our after school programs at DLS Campuses. Coordinating Enrichment after school activities involves working with vendors and DLS teachers to schedule clubs, arranging adequate space, monitoring students’ attendance, communicating with families, and managing financial components of the clubs. 


This is a team of one, so the highly qualified individual must also be able to work independently and meet deadlines without significant oversight. 


The Temporary Manager of Auxiliary Services is filling a temporary vacancy. The official dates of employment are December 3, 2025 through April 8, 2026, but these can be amended, if both parties agree.


The hours for the role are 9:00 until 5:00 Monday through Thursday and 8:00 until 4:00 on Fridays. 


This position is benefits eligible. The base annual salary range is $53,666 - $55,424 and will be prorated to reflect the actual number of days worked.


Pay and Benefits

  • Teachers at DLS are compensated in accordance with other Denver-area charter schools. The starting range for this position is listed above and is paid monthly during the work period on the 20th of the month. 
  • 10 days of PTO prorated to reflect the number of days worked.

Essential Functions (Financial Assistant):

  • Manage MySchoolBucks products and process invoices
  • Manage financial reports for after school programs
  • Familiarization with financial aid policies
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job

Essential Functions (Enrichments/Study Hall Coordinator)

  • Organize spring trimester's after-school activities, including pricing and schedule
  • Manage DLS vendor and teacher applications to teach clubs
  • Recruit, supervise, and retain enrichment vendors
  • Manage student enrichment attendance and keep rosters updated
  • Manage payroll for after-school program vendors and teachers
  • Clearly communicate all necessary information with families and enrichment vendors/teachers
  • Answer families’ questions in a timely manner
  • Oversee the daily dismissal and check-in process for the after-school program, ensuring a safe and orderly transition for all students from school dismissal to classroom activities
  • Supervise after school programs (Enrichments and study hall program) at Whiteman Campus everyday (attendance, behavior, dismissal, security procedures, etc.)
  • Address parent concerns and/or work with administrators, when needed
  • Create and implement sign-up, payment, check-in, and check out procedures, schedules, deadlines
  • Ability to travel to and between DLS Gilpin and DLS Whiteman campuses when needed

  • Exercises strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to manage a variety of situations, from mediating minor student disagreements to implementing swift solutions for logistical issues to ensure program continuity
  • Customer service oriented and ability to work within a diverse culture
  • Exercises a high degree of responsibility and vigilance as one of two on-site staff members; duties include supervising vendors and students, and ensuring all students are accounted for and dismissed safely
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey procedures effectively as well as able to communicate with vendors, students, families and school staff

Requirements

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Bookkeeping experience (1-3 years)
  • Experience using financial systems (1-3 years)
  • Previous experience leading before/after school programs (1-3 years)
  • Understand project management principles (backwards planning, goal setting, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • High levels of discretion and confidentiality
  • Advanced knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as Google Suite and MS Word, etc.
  • Intercultural competence and ability to communicate professionally in a multicultural setting

Preferred Education and Qualifications:

  • Bookkeeping experience (1+ years)
  • Experience using financial systems (1+ years)
  • Previous experience leading before/after school programs (1+ years)
  • High levels of customer service
  • Bilingual (English + Chinese and/or Spanish)
  • Experience in a school or nonprofit organization preferred

$53,666 - $55,424 for 205 days of work
