Position Title: Procurement Manager-Parts and Inventory Control
Reporting to: VP of Parts
Department: Parts

JOB SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager will play a key role in cost control, risk mitigation and continuous improvement within the procurement and supply chain process while mentoring procurement specialists and serving as the primary point of contact for supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT
- Working with recruitment and HR to maintain staff levels that appropriately support production levels and associated parts needs
- Working directly with personnel to ensure proper job function performance
- Maintaining continuous personnel improvement processes that include cross training and management support
- Communicating effectively to promote growth and high morale
- Working with other department managers to encourage cross-departmental workflow
- DEPARTMENTAL PROCESS AND PROCEDURE
- Managing inventory levels to support production and corporate goals
- Ensuring established policies and procedures are being followed and performed accordingly
- Assisting with policy and procedure enhancements to encourage an environment that promotes an ease of business and loss prevention
- Hold weekly departmental meetings to address comments, questions and/or concerns as it relates to productivity of the department.
- Support production planning with material availability information
- BUSINESS GROWTH
- Regularly review parts stocking levels based on current/forecasted usage
- Manage parameters for all parts, especially new and end of lifecycle parts
- Develop and execute warehouse plans to accommodate production needs
- Regularly review the Monthly Operating Statement (M.O.S.) to measure:
- Areas for improvement
- Staffing levels

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Previous parts experience (management preferred)
- Familiarity with MRP production and procurement planning
- Working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities with superior attention to detail
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
- Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork and customer service skills
WORK CONDITIONS
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
