What You’ll Be Doing
As our Talent Specialist – Skilled Trades, you’ll take ownership of initiatives that connect emerging talent with real-world opportunities at Nevada Gold Mines. You’ll collaborate across departments, partner with schools and training programs, and drive recruitment strategies that support both professional and skilled trades pipelines.
You’ll lead or support programs such as:
- Veteran Recruitment Initiatives
- Maintenance Training Cooperative (MTC) Program
- Urban Nevada Partnerships
Job Responsibilities:
- Build strong partnerships with local high schools, universities, trade schools, and community organizations
- Design metrics to track program success and make data-driven improvements
- Manage registrations and planning for recruitment events
- Continuously innovate programs to stay aligned with business needs
- Create compelling content that promotes our brand and attracts top talent
- Deliver presentations and represent NGM at career fairs and community events
- Own timelines and deliverables across multiple projects
- Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and vendors to streamline operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or Marketing — or equivalent experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills required
Experience designing and managing creative assets for both digital and print platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to assess program effectiveness
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Oracle a plus)
- Comfort presenting to audiences and senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel nationally and work flexible hours when needed
- Proven track record of working safely and promoting a safety-first culture
