At our warm and welcoming school, we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils and staff alike. We offer a unique and fulfilling place to work, where opportunities like this are rare: staff here are genuinely happy, vacancies generally only arise from promotion or retirement. We are looking for someone to join our friendly and dedicated team, who make a real difference every day.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Warm and approachable – builds positive relationships with staff, governors, parents and external partners.

  • Strategic and proactive – takes initiative and contributes to the long-term planning and smooth running of the school. Familiarity with Arbor MIS would be an advantage, though not essential.
  • Experienced in financial management – confident in managing school budgets, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in HR and administration – supports recruitment, staff records, contracts, the Single Central Record, and ensures robust administrative systems.
  • Adaptable and flexible – able to respond to the dynamic needs of a busy school environment.
  • Committed to teamwork – collaborates closely with the headteacher, governors, and all staff to support school priorities.
  • Strong communicator – communicates positively, clearly and professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Discrete and trustworthy – maintains confidentiality and demonstrates high levels of integrity.
  • IT proficient – proficient with Microsoft Office and open to using digital tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Aligned with our values – supports the Christian ethos of the school and contributes positively to our inclusive and friendly community.

We can offer you:

  • a supportive and positive working environment with opportunities for professional development
  • a team of welcoming and dedicated colleagues
  • well-behaved, enthusiastic children and supportive families
  • a governing body that values and champions staff wellbeing
  • a workplace where good humour and a can-do attitude are encouraged
  • flexibility: term-time and school holiday arrangements, may be considered for the right candidate, as well as tailoring the role/working hours to candidates with excellent finance knowledge and skills.
