We are excited to offer a mid-level opportunity for an Accountant to join our corporate team. This role is based in St. Louis, MO, and provides a flexible hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Month end close duties include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and various analysis work. Areas may include, but not limited to SGA accruals, travel, fixed assets, and contracts.
- Perform financial statement analysis, including preparation of monthly reporting package schedules provided to management.
- Lead communications with Corporate department owners – such as IT, HR, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Legal, and/or Facilities – on actual spend and future forecasted costs.
- Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for the auditors. Audit relationships may include internal and external financial auditors.
- Assist with the integration of acquisitions as it pertains to related areas.
- Support experienced team members in areas that may include forecasting and acquisitions.
- Cross-train and support other team members. Examples of cross training topics could include cash management, property tax, sales and use tax, etc.
- Support other projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain compliance with SOX Controls.
Qualifications
Required:
- Accounting Degree
- 2 years of experience required.
- Critical level of attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills.
- Ability to multi-task, organize projects, and prioritize tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and accurately accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a Corporate Accounting environment
- Experience in a public company and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
- Experience with Oracle Cloud
