Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.

Position Summary

The Lead Lobby Attendant oversees day-to-day lobby operations across assigned GLFHC sites to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role provides daily guidance and support to Lobby Attendants, ensuring consistent service delivery and adherence to security and customer service protocols. The Lead Lobby Attendant models exceptional service standards, coordinates schedules and coverage, and serves as the primary liaison between the Lobby Attendant team, Facilities, and Security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Lobby Attendants across assigned sites.

  • Maintain coverage schedules and ensure consistent service.

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors.

  • Monitor lobby activity to ensure safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.

  • Report incidents and coordinate with Facilities and Security.

  • Provide training, guidance, and daily oversight to lobby staff.

  • Complete daily logs and support updates to lobby procedures.

Qualifications

Experience / Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, facilities, or security.

  • At least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-traffic or stressful situations.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (email, logs, reports).

  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
