Manage the receiving, storage, issuing, maintenance and quality of petroleum products and fueling systems. Implement the required handling, sampling, testing and maintenance operations for aircraft fuel. Ensure regulatory compliance, including recordkeeping, training, housekeeping and inspection readiness of hazardous waste collection locations and storage locations throughout the facility. Maintain compliance in accordance with 40 CFR, Hazardous Waste Management Training and Testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain Haz waste collection areas and storage areas to ensure cleanliness and proper storage of materials, including a twice daily inspection of all collection locations and twice daily inspections of the haz waste storage area.
Perform and document weekly inspections of Haz waste storage areas to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and retain inspection records.
Coordinate shipments of regulated Hazmat and non-Hazmat wastes and retain required records of shipments.
Assist to review, prepare and present applicable Hazmat regulations and AWPC programs and policies, including periodic participation in Part 21 and Part 145 shop meetings to review practices used by personnel, deficiencies and corrective actions.
Maintain DOT and RCRA training required for handling and shipping of Hazmat.
Perform required inspections and tests of fuel and fueling systems, and retain records of tests and inspections (gauging, sampling fuel, etc.).
Coordinate and receive deliveries of fuel products and test and / or confirm fuel quality and maintain required records.
Receive and manage documents associated with shipments and receiving of fuel to facilitate ordering fuel, payment of invoices and quality review of fuel management systems.
Maintain the fuel farm operational readiness and cleanliness. This includes observing fueling procedures performed by technicians and ensuring personnel understand and follow required fueling procedures.
Perform routine maintenance of fueling systems and identify when contractor services are needed for maintenance operations.
Coordinate the on-site activities of a contractor coming to work in the facility, including confirming security access, and be onsite, or ensure an AWPC person is on-site, by written confirmation at least 24 hours before the schedule work, to coordinate the contractor activities.
Maintain a weekly calendar of activities planned and performed. The calendar of planned activities for each week will be prepared and submitted to the Manager of EHS before noon on the Friday of the week identified on the calendar. The calendar of completed activities during the week will also be submitted before noon on Friday of the week ending. Information on the calendar includes, planned and completed Haz waste pick-ups and fuel deliveries, and confirmation of personnel to manage Haz waste pick-ups and perform fuel testing on off-shifts, weekends, etc. The format for the schedule will be prepared by the Manager of EHS.
Identify specific practices and policies to be implemented by AWPC to improve management of Haz waste and fueling operations and assist with implementation as directed by the Manager of EHS.
