Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Special Education and CUSD SELPA Director, the Behavior Analyst will, for the purpose of effecting positive behavioral change in students with disabilities (SWD) prek-12 grades collaborate with the various educators in the schools to identify and develop behavioral interventions; provide supportive interventions to families and/or students, and comply with federal, state, county and District policies, regulations and/or procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Possession of a valid BCBA Certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
B. Possession of a valid California professional clear Education Specialist credential or clear Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a school psychologist.
C. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferably in counseling, special education, psychology or a closely related field.
D. Previous training and minimum of 3 years’ experience in behavior management and positive behavioral interventions in the educational setting.
E. Three or more years of recent special education classroom experience
F. Advance training and related experience in the education of individuals with exceptional need
G. Extensive experience facilitating adult professional development
