Your role 

In this role, you will support strategic initiatives aimed at expanding student access to higher education, including the Texas College Access Network (TxCAN) and other projects within the Access and Transition portfolio. You will coordinate logistics for meetings, professional development sessions, and technical assistance, while also developing materials to support access and transition efforts.  

As a key point of contact for partners and stakeholders, you will foster strong relationships and work toward achieving shared goals. You’ll monitor trends, synthesize data to inform strategy, and contribute to communications such as newsletters and presentations. Within the team, your support will be valuable across a range of initiatives, which may include student support services, academic readiness efforts, and post-secondary planning. You may also assist with documentation and reporting, collaborate across teams, and potentially supervise interns or temporary staff. 

 

This position is based in Dallas, Texas. The successful candidate must reside locally or be willing to relocate. Candidates must be willing to travel overnight (both in/out of state) up to 25% of the time. 

 

What you’ll do 

Program Support and Coordination 

  • Support implementation of access and transition initiatives, including TxCAN activities.
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person convenings, professional development sessions, and technical assistance engagements.
  • Assist in developing agendas, presentation materials, and post-event feedback processes.
  • Track and document program activities, partner engagement, and outcomes.

Partner Engagement 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for TxCAN partners and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with member organizations and identify new partners aligned with access and transition goals.
  • Facilitate partner surveys, interviews, and feedback loops to inform continuous improvement.

 

Communications and Knowledge Sharing 

  • Draft content for newsletters, updates, and social media related to access and transition initiatives.
  • Create presentation materials and data visualizations to communicate program impact.
  • Monitor trends in college access, transition, and student success to inform program design.

Data and Evaluation Support 

  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and synthesis to support program decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy and Insights team to document outcomes and inform strategy.

Development and Fundraising Support 

  • Support grant reporting and funder communications in collaboration with the Development team.
  • Assist in drafting updates and responses to funder inquiries.

Team Collaboration 

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning.
  • Represent Educate Texas on internal and external committees and working groups as needed.
  • Manage interns or temporary staff supporting access and transition initiatives.

 

Experience you bring  

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, public policy, social sciences, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in education, college advising, admissions, or related areas. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences. 
  • Experience working with underserved student populations and commitment to educational equity. 
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Zoom.
