Additional Information: Show/Hide Building Health Liaison Assistant - Custer Elementary School This is a non-instructional assistant position that will be paid according to the Monroe Assistants Group bargaining agreement for 35 hours per week on an instructional year calendar.
Reports to: Building Principal
Job Goal: The Building Level Health Liaison Assistant will work under the direction of the building principal in collaboration with the Health Liaison to provide support in addressing the health needs of students; assisting in implementing the school health program; maintaining medical/dietary records and providing appropriate care and/or referral for medically and/or dietary fragile students.Including
Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma; or passing score on the ETS Parapro Test
Must be certified in CPR and basic First Aid
Requires strong analytical and computer skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, strong communications skills
Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to public health.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
General knowledge of public health management information systems and how to use them to support the school environment.
Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel including MOS Certification as determined by Administration. A willingness to learn and become proficient with all other current district standard software.
Demonstrates interest and participation in a wide range of professional growth opportunities through such activities as advanced coursework, in-service programs, conference attendance and/or other related activities.
Demonstrates and verifiable record of excellent, positive, and productive relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds and a commitment to equal opportunity for all.
Such other qualifications as the Board of Education deem acceptable.
