As QEC Manager, you will manage a team of approximately 5 direct reports who are working to implement scalable fault-tolerant quantum computing using neutral atom qubits. Day-to-day responsibilities range from project management, infrastructure development, budgeting decisions as well as technical mentoring and individual contributions.

Job Responsibilities:
Hire, develop, and manage a team of high-performing quantum engineers
Contribute 30-50% of your time towards hands-on QEC projects
Maintain ongoing communication with technical managers, project leaders, and peers to ensure work is allocated effectively and efficiently
Help to provide logistical support to create the infrastructure for the team to accomplish their goals.
Experience & Education
PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2 years industry experience
Qualifications
Temperamentally suited to work at a fast-growing, early stage startup: self-motivated, humble, driven, collaborative, and has a high tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineers.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environment
Ability and passion for hiring the best Quantum Engineers from academia and industry
Familiarity with Python and Git software version control

The base salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer a bonus plan and incentive stock options for equity in the company.
