Job Purpose

The Mobile Market President (Market President) will plan and direct the bank's day-to-day activities in the Mobile Market (Market).  The Market President will function as the bank's Senior Officer within the Market, and will play an integral role in developing and executing strategies designed to support the bank's continued growth and success in the Market. The Market President will directly manage and oversee Business lending and Retail activities within the Market, as well as directly originate and service loans in their own portfolio.  The Market President will direct the bank's marketing, advertising and donation efforts within the Market to ensure that they provide the maximum benefit possible for the Bank.  The Market President will promote awareness of and goodwill toward the bank by being actively engaged in community organizations and participating in community events across the Market.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• The Market President will collaborate with the Chief Banking Officer, Chief Executive Officer and other executive leaders to develop the Bank's overall Business Strategy. The Market President will bear primary responsibility for executing the Bank's Business Strategy, and for recommending changes as necessary.
• The Market President will serve on the Internal Loan Committee for the Bank. The Market President will bear responsibility for ensuring that loans comply with all applicable Bank policies and regulatory standards.
• The Market President will lead efforts to grow the bank's brand awareness, loan portfolio and deposit market share within the Alabama Market.  The Market President will lead efforts in developing goals, projections, and initiatives to improve the Bank's overall performance within the Market.
• The Market President will oversee all lending and retail activities within the Market and ensure that they align with the Bank's policies and strategic objectives.  In this capacity, the Market President will directly manage and oversee the activities of lenders, lending support, and retail branch managers.
• The Market President will lead recruiting, training and development, and performance management efforts for staff within the Market. The Market President will directly originate and service loans within their assigned portfolio, with a focus on key customers and larger more complex commercial and real estate loans. The Market President will bear responsibility for ensuring that loans comply with all applicable Bank policies and regulatory standards.
• The Market President will plan and coordinate the Bank's outreach, marketing, advertising and donations efforts within the Market to maximize effectiveness and reach. The Market President will promote awareness of and goodwill for the bank's brand in the Market by actively engaging in outside community organizations and events throughout the Market.
• Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned, to support the Bank's mission and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter with strong leadership, teamwork, problem solving, project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Minimum 10 years banking experience, with at least 5 years of commercial lending experience.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of banking concepts and terminology, documentation, and state and Federal rules & regulations.
• Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• High school diploma required; college degree highly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance required.
