Glenbrook South High School's Buildings and Grounds Department is seeking a Maintenance (260-Calendar/12-month) worker for the day shift for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Maintenance staff members perform essential maintenance tasks in assigned buildings, including the repair and replacement of electrical and plumbing fixtures and monitoring HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate will assist with preventative maintenance programs and collaborate with the custodial crew as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to lift 50 lbs. are essential. This role offers a great opportunity for those looking to develop their maintenance skills in a supportive environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or general educational degree (GED).
- Ability to read and understand basic directions and operating instructions such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate verbally to staff, students, and community visitors while demonstrating a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in the building alone, identify & take action to remedy potential safety or health concerns.
- Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of essential duties and responsibilities.
- Maintained regular attendance.
- Positive attitude and spirit of collaboration.
