Get to Know This Role
The Rail Coordinator 1 is responsible for the intake and unloading of grain shipments to the Rail Spur and delivery to the brewery. This position will ensure necessary parties are informed of incoming grain shipments and are prepared to accept shipments when delivered. The Rail Coordinator 1 will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Rail Spur facility and equipment.

What You Will Do
  • Utilize Rail King to position inbound rail cars, transfer raw materials (malt, wheat, oat) from rail cars into trailer, haul grains from rail spur facility to brewery, and unload trailer into correct storage silos
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections on commercial trucks, trailers, Rail King and write work orders or escalate issues; conduct pre-and post-trip inspections
  • Track status of incoming rail spur deliveries to ensure brewing schedule is met; reconcile delivery paperwork and escalate discrepancies
  • Maintain required hygiene and sanitation by keeping a clean work area; maintain vehicles and grain equipment regularly
  • Manage personal DOT driver logs to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Facilitate and execute delivery schedule, haul deliveries to local distributors.
  • Coordinate with brewing, supply chain, warehouse, maintenance and other departments as needed to ensure work flows are efficient
  • Collect samples from each grain car and verify material quality is acceptable prior to unloading delivery vehicles
  • Drive the yard goat and other warehouse functions as necessary
     


 

Please Apply if You Have
  • 3 years Class A driving preferred or
  • Attain Class A driving license within one year of hire required
  • 1 year Experience with transloading equipment preferred
  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees across multiple departments
  • Ability to perform quality work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Driver's License free of any major moving violations within the last five years upon hire required
  • Commercial Driver's License within 1 Year required
