Title: Inventory Optimization Specialist
Summary: 
Support the Materials Management team in implementing and maintaining best practices for inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, efficient processes, and strong vendor relationships. 
Key Responsibilities:
- 	
Help determine proper inventory levels to maximize customer service and profitability
 
- 	
Evaluate stock to decide what should be stocked or phased out
 
- 	
Collaborate with inventory review teams to support informed stocking decisions
 
- 	
Implement and maintain vendor-managed inventory programs
 
- 	
Ensure adherence to industry ethical standards
 
- 	
Maintain inventory controls, process exceptions, and communicate adjustments to purchasing
 
- 	
Perform regular maintenance of item records in the Trend system
 
- 	
Optimize inventory positioning across regions, sourcing both OAN and surplus stock
 
- 	
Support forecasting and project business planning
 
- 	
Assist in analyzing inventory for potential vendor returns
 
- 	
Ensure inventory settings are accurate and up to date
 
- 	
Collect data to support performance metrics reporting
 
- 	
Maintain minimum threshold functionality
 
- 	
Provide buyers with key information for decision-making
 
- 	
Continuously expand product knowledge through training and seminars
 
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- 	
Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management, or equivalent professional experience in materials, purchasing, or logistics
 
- 	
Strong organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills
 
- 	
Advanced proficiency in MS Office and business operating systems
 
- 	
Solid knowledge of inventory control and materials management
 
- 	
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 
- 	
Commitment to ongoing professional development
