To provide professional accounting services to clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with deadlines while maintaining an inclusive and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain client records and reconcile ledgers.
Prepare management accounts, consolidate financial reports, and complete regulatory returns.
Prepare statutory accounts.
Process, review, and approve journals and reference data on the ledger.
Approve payments in line with delegated authority and monitor outstanding invoices/statements.
Monitor cash movements and balances, escalating to the Client Manager as needed.
Process payroll on behalf of clients.
Engage with regulatory bodies, auditors, and clients professionally.
Ensure policies, procedures, and controls are documented, followed, and updated.
Stay informed about regulatory changes and collaborate with clients, third parties, and internal teams to ensure controlled implementation.
Support recruitment, training, development, and knowledge-sharing within the team.
Assist clients with audits.
Participate in additional projects and tasks as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience in preparing management accounts, annual reports, and financial statements.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Commitment to professional ethics.
Client-focused with the ability to build strong relationships.
Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of general insurance finance, including regulatory returns (desirable).
Familiarity with SUN/Q&A accounting software (desirable).
