Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT modernization initiatives. This role involves managing projects from initiation through deployment, integration, and post-implementation support. The ideal candidate will oversee full lifecycle project activities, ensuring scope, schedule, resources, and risks are managed effectively while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, schedule creation and maintenance, resource management, risk mitigation, quality control, and project closure.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and vendors, ensuring effective communication, timely delivery of milestones, and resolution of escalated issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, business, operations, and security teams to define project goals, critical milestones, and deliverables.
- Planning & Monitoring: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and risk management strategies.
- System Implementation & Integration: Oversee software deployment, system integration, and testing, following best practices in the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Agile & Hybrid Project Delivery: Manage projects using Agile (SCRUM, Kanban) and other methodologies (Waterfall), ensuring teams meet project objectives effectively.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular project status updates, executive dashboards, and reports; maintain complete documentation of business processes and project decisions.
- Issue & Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and resolve project issues while mitigating risks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Certification: Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
- Project Management Expertise: Proven success managing large, complex IT programs/projects using multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, Kanban).
- Technical Experience: Strong experience in business requirements gathering, business process documentation, full SDLC, and testing methodologies.
- Leadership Experience: Managed at least two full lifecycle Agile software projects with teams of 10+ members, with full accountability for project delivery.
- Enterprise-Level Impact: Experience managing IT projects with enterprise-wide implications, including software development and vendor collaboration.
- Communication & Analytical Skills: Excellent oral, written, and listening skills, strong analytical and negotiation abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Tools Expertise: Proficiency in MS Project Professional, SharePoint, Visio, and the MS Office Suite.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, team motivation, and coordination skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
