Director – Nutrition & Wellness/Diabetes Education
Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours/pp| 8-hour day shifts | Salaried/Exempt

How you will contribute 

A Director-Nutrition & Wellness/Diabetes Education who excels in this role:

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. 

  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. 

  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. 

  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. 

  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. 

  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we are looking for

 

Applicants must have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred) or be a Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and have a bachelor’s degree.

 

Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

  • Three (3) years’ health care experience

  • One (1) year supervisory experience (preferred)
