POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands-on Application Engineer with expertise in warehouse automation design, CAD modeling, and data analytics to support our growing project portfolio. This role will work closely with sales, project management and customers to design and optimize automated material handling solutions, ensuring our systems meet performance, cost, and operational requirements.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Develop 2D/3D CAD layouts for automated warehouse systems, including conveyors, ASRS, robotics, and sortation equipment.
- Translate customer requirements into technical design concepts, functional specifications, and proposals.
- Conduct throughput and capacity modeling, analyzing system performance using Excel, SQL, or simulation tools.
- Collaborate with project engineering and vendors to prepare design documentation for customer reviews and project execution.
- Perform data analysis of warehouse operations to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Provide technical input during sales and solution design cycles, helping tailor automation strategies to customer needs.
- Maintain awareness of emerging warehouse automation technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling design, or related engineering fields. Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D layouts required; 3D modeling preferred). Solid data analytics skills using Excel (advanced), SQL, and/or Power BI; knowledge of Python or R a plus
Other Requirements:
- Familiarity with ASRS, conveyors, robotics, WMS/WES integration, and warehouse design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed for site surveys, sales presentations, and customer meetings.
