Summary
Join our team as a Safety & Insurance Coordinator, where you'll manage key risk and employee compliance processes—from insurance claims and certificates to fleet tracking, drug testing, and safety events. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.
Some of the work you will do:
- Coordinate surety bonds documentation, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of all required forms.
- Manage Certificate of Insurance requests and communications with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Process and track insurance claims, managing initial correspondence with adjusters to ensure prompt handling.
- Support the insurance renewal process by gathering required documentation and maintaining organized, up-to-date records.
- Schedule and oversee employee drug testing to ensure compliance with company and client requirements.
- Process employee motor vehicle record (MVR) checks and client-mandated background screenings.
- Provide administrative support for the fleet management program maintenance schedules, fuel card tracking, and vehicle usage reports.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing annual safety events and training sessions.
- Contribute to the success of the Professional Services department by performing various administrative tasks that support ongoing business operations.
Here are the skills that you need:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education.
- Excellent grammar, writing and proofreading skills
- Proficient or higher computer skills including MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Teams) and PDF-XChange Editor
- Ability to work with others in an office environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines in an efficient and effective manner
- General clerical skills
- General math and problem-solving skills
- Typing speed of 40+ wpm
Here are the skills and qualifications that will set you apart:
- Relevant post-high school training, certification, or coursework
- Experience coordinating and/or managing projects
- Knowledge of or experience with Sharepoint, Microsoft Navision and CRM software
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to listen and integrate what is said into final product
- Knowledge of or experience with insurance, safety, and corporate compliance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at workstation using computer/phone.
- Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and see. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Regularly required to move around the facility.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
