Project Leader at Astro Pak

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for technical excellence, teamwork, and precision? Astro Pak is seeking a Project Leader to manage and execute on-site field projects across diverse industries. In this role, you’ll lead field crews, oversee project operations, and ensure that every job is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This role requires flexibility for overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice assignments (30–50% night shift travel expected).

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise on-site field crews to deliver top-quality service safely and on time
• Plan, organize, and manage all project phases — from setup to completion
• Monitor budgets, equipment use, and job profitability
• Mentor and develop field technicians while promoting a culture of safety and teamwork
• Execute processes such as derouging, bio-cleaning, and hydro/pneumatic testing
• Troubleshoot equipment and chemical mixture issues with technical expertise
• Conduct safety talks, maintain compliance, and ensure all documentation is complete
• Work hands-on with various chemical systems and equipment setups
• Travel extensively for on-site project management

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience: 3+ years in chemical cleaning and 1–3 years leading field teams
• Education: High school diploma or GED required (Technical training or AA degree preferred)
• Certifications:
  • OSHA Certification or ability to obtain one upon employment (Required)
  • Medical DOT Certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment (Required)
  • HAZWOPER and Confined Space (Preferred)
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Solid mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Comfortable reading work instructions and completing documentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Other:
  
  • Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear appropriate PPE
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work nontraditional hours

Work Environment

Benefits:

• The pay for this position has an hourly rate of $31-$34. The actual pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
