The Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the phlebotomy program, workflow management, training, and ensuring team compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards under the supervision of the Laboratory Support Services Manager. Oversight includes inpatient services, homebound/nursing home services, and the outpatient collection centers. The phlebotomy supervisor serves as a resource and technical expert in all laboratory phlebotomy procedures with active participation in the lab quality assurance program and process improvement. The phlebotomy supervisor provides exceptional customer centric service and promotes a professional environment that positively contributes to a productive work environment.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalant
Bachelor or associate level or related experience in a leadership role preferred
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience with strong customer service skill
Leadership experience preferred
License Requirements
• Phlebotomy and CPR certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
Skill Requirements
• Strong communication skills. Accurate performance and collection of tests while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
