Urgent Injury Clinic - Rad Tech at DMOS

As a Radiologic Tech working in our Urgent Injury Clinic in Ankeny, you’ll help our patients get back to living by taking the first step in care: getting x-ray images to figure out what’s wrong! Every day you will work alongside our Urgent Injury clinic team of a Mid-level Provider and Ortho Tech to create a welcoming and comfortable patient experience, ensuring everyone gets their questions answered and understands their journey to healing. To thrive in this role, you must have a Radiology Tech Permit to Practice in the state of Iowa and a passion for the wellbeing of every patient you see.

Ankeny Urgent Injury Clinic hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7am - 3pm and Saturday 8am-12pm. As the Ankeny UIC Rad Tech, you will be expected to cover at least 1 weekend per month, that you ultimately get to choose which Saturday you would like to work. 

Here’s What You Can Expect

• You’ll be on your feet most of the day greeting and preparing patients for their x-ray exam before operating the x-ray machine to capture high-quality images. You are the patient's kind guide and reliable helper during their appointment.
• Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the Mid-level provider. This is a private practice where you’ll have access to ask questions of the care team if you need any clarification.
• A small, close-knit team of professionals you can rely on who work closely with our doctors and staff to provide patient care we are proud of.

What We’re Looking For

• A radiology tech permit to practice in the state of Iowa.
• You know how to communicate calmly and provide reassurance when patients are nervous. You know how important it is to listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting your patient.
• Independent worker. You know how to keep yourself focused and when to ask for help.
