CRST has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Early Talent Program within our summer internship program as Legal Intern within our Legal and Risk teams. Legal professionals provide guidance on compliance, risk management, and legal strategy to protect and advance the company’s interests. The team includes roles from general counsel to specialized counsel in labor, employment, and commercial law, along with essential legal support, collaborating to address complex legal matters and ensure regulatory adherence.

Here is what you can expect:

• Legal Projects: Execute assignments as directed by General Counsel
• Risk Management Projects: Complete tasks as assigned by the VP of Risk Management
• Litigation Support: Assist with legal proceedings and documentation within the Legal department
• Claims Support: Provide support for litigation and claims processes within the Risk department
• Accountability and Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
• Exposure to Senior Leaders across the business with the opportunity to connect and grow your network.
• Hands on projects related to your major
• Personal and professional development opportunities
• Connection to the community in which you are working
• Present a capstone to Senior Business Leaders at the conclusion of the 8-week period 

The Summer Internship Program is where students are exposed to the transportation industry, engaged in real-world problem-solving, and immersed in social and educational opportunities with other interns and leaders across the organization. You will have the opportunity to work hand in hand with different business entities to accomplish company objectives and goals.

Here is what we are looking for:

• Pursuing a Juris Doctorate
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and loyalty 
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills 
• Self-starter with high personal motivation and desire to take initiative and ownership and think one step ahead
• Handles confidential information with discretion and integrity
• Prior coursework, internship, or work experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively. 
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel. 
• Basic oral and written communication skills 
• Maximizes relationships, fosters collaboration, and builds trust

• Interns who successfully complete the Early Talent Program are considered for full-time positions within CRST upon graduation with additional benefits.
