Principal Weight Control Engineer - PSC at Wood (Project-based)

This contract is working on a joint venture project in the Saudi at pre-FEED stage comprising multiple on-shore PAUS up to 8000mt. The scope includes the development of all standards and procedures to client standards and all requirements for modular construction in a far-eastern module facility.
Responsibilities
- Taking on responsibility for implementation and management of weight control process on major oil and gas project
- Preparation of regular project weight control reports
- Set-up, data acquisition and data entry for Wood weight control database (Access)
- Custodian and interrogation of historical data from existing database for use in benchmarking, checking and estimating weights
- Direct responsibility for weight control to project manger
- Direct interaction with clients and discipline lead engineers
Qualifications
- Proven familiarity and application of ISO 19901-5 from the development of project weight control procedures to final out-turn weight prediction including the derivation of weight database using the S3D
- UK Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an appropriate Engineering Discipline subject
- A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
- Self-motivated, energetic and tenacious
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels up to top management
- IT/Computer Literate
- An open attitude to the role’s responsibilities
- Good management skills
- Willing to be part of a Project Team with consideration of other discipline inputs
