Overview:

The Association Success Manager (ASM) serves as the strategic lead and relationship manager for a portfolio of professional and trade association partners. This role is accountable for driving revenue performance, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering successful execution of media, digital, and software solutions. The ASM partners closely with Portfolio Performance Managers and cross-functional teams to align Naylors offerings with client goals, optimize project outcomes, and unlock growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking, exceptional relationship management, and the ability to bridge internal execution with external expectations.

Responsibilities:

Client & Project Strategy

  • Serve as the lead strategist and advocate for assigned association accounts, ensuring alignment of Naylors solutions with partner goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Performance Manager to develop and execute strategic project plans that support association objectives, drive audience engagement, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Build annual business plans with defined KPIs, revenue targets, and retention goalsleveraging input from Project Managers for timing, execution, and resourcing alignment.
  • Deliver comprehensive business reviews and planning sessions, combining performance data and market insights to guide long-term partner growth.

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Own overall revenue performance and growth strategy for assigned portfolio in partnership with Portfolio Performance Managers.
  • Work together with the Portfolio Performance Manager to monitor pacing, budgeting, and project milestones to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Support sales reps with insight into client goals, value propositions, and lead development strategiesensuring performance metrics are visible and actionable across the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze project-level and portfolio-level data to inform real-time strategy adjustments, optimize results, and reduce risk.

Client Experience & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary relationship manager and liaison for assigned associations, providing consultative insight and ongoing strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Performance Manager to deliver a seamless and coordinated experience across all Naylor departments and service lines.
  • Lead regular client engagement through virtual and in-person meetings to ensure satisfaction, identify opportunities, and reinforce Naylors value.
  • Champion client feedback to inform service delivery and internal enhancements.

Internal Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work hand-in-hand with Portfolio Performance Managers, Sales, Content, Software, Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams to ensure project and client success.
  • Provide sales enablement, including clear communication of client objectives, market context, and performance expectations.
  • Partner with support teams to prioritize initiatives, address risks, and continuously improve internal processes and communication.

Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise

  • Contribute to content development, strategic planning sessions, and educational resources for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on association trends, media innovation, policy issues, and member engagement strategies to inform strategic planning.
  • Represent Naylor and association partner interests at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B client management, association publishing, or media/digital strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in driving client revenue growth and managing multi-channel project delivery.
  • Strong experience with P&L oversight, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 3050% depending on assigned portfolio.

The preferred candidate will be local/hybrid to our Atlanta, DC, or Gainesville locations but open to remote candidates also.
