About the Role:
The Construction Laborer plays a vital role in supporting the successful completion of construction projects by performing a variety of physical tasks on-site. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing and cleaning construction sites, and handling materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow.
Pay Range: $22-$23 DOE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification in OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety training.
- Scissor lift certification.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or a related labor-intensive field.
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of construction site layout and terminology.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving construction materials and equipment on-site.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up tools, and ensuring materials are readily available.
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons by providing necessary tools and assistance.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Help with site measurements, digging trenches, and other manual labor tasks as directed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks.
