Temporary Full-time Elementary School Counselor position supporting Major George S. Welch Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year.
    ***Please note this position will support students as a School Counselor as well as teaching a few classes throughout the day following the district approved curriculum.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who are eligible or possess Elementary School Counselor certification are encouraged to apply. Successful Elementary classroom teaching experience is preferred but not required. All candidates must apply on-line.

    Applicant must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for Elementary Education and Elementary School Counseling. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out of state teaching license. An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants with one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License.

    SALARY:  In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

    PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
