Job Title: Warehouse/Inventory Specialist

Position Profile:
Responsible for executing sound inventory management practices across all functional areas of the warehouse and facility. Demonstrates proficiency with inventory management system. Ensures that inventories are accurately defined and accounted for across all inventory groups and sites. Executes cycle count process and identifies inventory variances. Reconciles identified inventory variances.
Job Accountabilities and Duties:
· Executes Sound Inventory Practices. Executes inventory transactions that are accurate and performed in a timely manner. Ensures that inventory in warehouses have accurate and detailed location assignments. Executes cycle counting process, ensuring counts are based on proper frequency and sample size to ensure overall inventory accuracy. Verifies inventory is rotated in warehouse to reflect FIFO process. Reports inventory damage and discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensures inventory write-offs are properly documented in system.
· Inventory Counts. Utilizes the cycle count process to identify inventory variances. Utilizes hand scanner and tablet technology to perform accurate counts. Reconciles variances and assists in root cause analysis to determine cause of variances. Makes recommendations from Root Cause Analysis to correct for identified variances. Reviews inventory levels and recommends actions to meet production and customer demand.
· Inventory Management Execution. Executes processes and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory information is in the inventory management system. Accurate execution of inventory counts and entries to inventory management system.
o Ensures warehouse inventory information is accurate and up-to-date.
o Executes sound warehouse practices to manage inventory, i.e. cycle counts, variance resolution, material movement/transfer processes, and warehouse space utilization.
o Ensures inventory issues are resolved in a timely manner satisfactory to all parties, i.e. discrepancies, releases, shipping/receiving issues.
o Provides daily communication to Shipping and Receiving and Assembly team of relevant inventory counts.
o Safely loads and unloads trucks as needed.
o Follows all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating in a warehouse environment.
o Assists with general warehousing duties as needed.

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· 2 years of documented work experience in warehousing, inventory management and/or material handling, using SAP or other ERP, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· 1 year of Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment, including loading and unloading trucks.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
· Good analytical ability, including the ability to review data and make sound recommendations.
· Must have demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands.
· Ability to safely operate forklift, with current forklift certification or the ability to get certification in 30 days.
· Must be innovative, and performance and quality driven.
· Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and capabilities as a part of a team.
· Working knowledge in Microsoft Office and/or relevant software packages, with demonstrated ability to track, enter, and maintain inventory data in SAP or similar system
